With the notable exception of McLaren, Great Britain isn’t exactly known for building insane supercars.

However, Aston Martin challenged that this week when it unveiled the 2016 Vulcan, which will make its debut at Geneva Motor Show on March 3.

The 800-horsepower carbon fiber track-only supercar is powered by a 7.0-liter V12 and features ceramic racing disk brakes, measuring 15 inches on the front and 14 inches on the back.

More performance numbers are expected to be revealed closer to the car's debut.

Now, don’t expect to walk into an Aston Martin dealership and be able to purchase one, as there are three major factors preventing you from doing so:

1) Only 24 of them are being built.

2) It costs $2.3 million.

3) Owners will be required to take part in an “extensive and detailed program of intensive track driver training” before taking the Vulcan home as their own.

Now if you’re like us, you’re probably a bit disappointed now knowing that you’ll likely never get to drive one but, hopefully, these spectacular images of the car will be able to cheer you up:
