
Sprint car clears 22-foot fence in unbelievable crash

25-year-old Austin Williams cleared a 22-foot fence in a crash at Perris Auto Speedway in Perris, California, last weekend.
Fortunately, Williams was able to walk away from his wrecked car under his own power.
The incident took place during a qualifying run for the weekend’s USAC/CRA Sprint Car event, which meant that no other cars were on track and so the session could be immediately red flagged. Williams seemingly hits a bump while entering the turn, causing his car to flip over several times before being vaulted over the fence.
It was the first car to clear the fence in the history of the half-mile clay oval.
