During last weekend’s WRC Rally Mexico, Estonian driver Ott Tanak ran off course at one of the worst possible places.
Tanak and his co-driver, Raigo Molder, were fortunately able to escape from their Ford Fiesta after a reported suspension failure led to the car rolling down a hill and into a reservoir Friday morning. Both individuals were able to escape and swim to safety, while the car sank to the lake’s bottom.
Fortunately, they were able to fish the Fiesta out and get back to racing the next day.
