Last month, the racing season kicked off with the Rolex 24 at Daytona, which was won by the Tequila Patron ESM team.
At least, they were the winners of the Prototype class. There were also three other races going on in the Prototype Challenge, GT Le Mans and GT Daytona classes, as there will be throughout the rest of the season.
A full explanation of the differences between each four classes is available at IMSA’s website but, for those of us who prefer visual learning, the above video is also a handy guide in being able to tell the classes and cars apart.

The next round of the 2016 IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship takes place from Sebring on Saturday, March 19.
