Formula E drivers head to Berlin for second-last stop on the schedule
Saturday’s Berlin ePrix will give the Formula E drivers one final shot to position themselves ahead of the season-ending doubleheader in London.
The action begins with qualifying airing from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. ET Saturday morning on FS2, followed immediately by LIVE racing action from 9:30 - 11 a.m. ET on FS1. The event will also be simulcast on the FOX Sports GO app.
For the inaugural season of Formula E, the German round was held at the Tempelhof Airport Street Circuit at the Berlin Tempelhof Airport, with temporary barriers forming the layout on what was otherwise nothing more than a giant slab of tarmac.
One year later, and the Berlin ePrix has found itself a new home in the heart of the German capital.
This new 1.26-mile circuit features 11 turns, and will play host to the eighth round of the 10-race 2015-2016 season, following the cancellation of the Moscow ePrix. There is a slight chance of rain in the forecast.
Having just came off back-to-back wins, ABT Schaeffler Audi Sport’s Lucas di Grassi leads Renault e.Dams’ driver Sebastien Buemi by 11 points, with DS Virgin Racing’s Sam Bird far adrift in third place, 44 points back of Di Grassi.
With FanBoost winners not being determined until the sixth minute of the race, it’s not too late to vote for your favorite driver to get a power boost for the Berlin ePrix:
