Drivers OK after two separate rollovers in F3 race at Monza

The FIA Formula 3 series is at the Monza circuit in Italy this weekend for a triple-header of races.

While the first two races on Saturday both saw close finishes – with the greatest winning margin being 1.131 seconds by Felix Rosenqvist over Mikkel Jensen in race 1 – it was the drivers a bit further back in the running order that made the highlight reels, with both Lance Stroll and Michele Beretta barrel-rolling over after contact with other cars.

First came Stroll’s crash, which was triggered by contact with Antonio Giovinazzi in a battle for fifth through Curve Grande on the fourth lap:

Just six laps later, Michele Beretta also had a scary moment heading into the Rettifilo chicane as the field was reacting to the spinning car of Maximilian Gunther.

Fortunately, all involved were OK.
