Three generations of McLaren F1 drivers recently competed in a race at Fernando Alonso’s go-kart course.
Including Alonso, there were five drivers in total. Together, they accounted for five Formula One World Championships and 80 race wins:
-- 1998-1999 World Champion Mika Hakkinen
-- 2005-2006 World Champion Fernando Alonso
-- 2009 World Champion Jenson Button
-- Former F1 driver David Coulthard
-- Current reserve driver Stoffel Vandoorne
While there was a lot of beating and banging going on in the middle of the field, Mika Hakkinen seemed to be having a very calm time out front, that was until the last lap when Alonso caught and passed him out of the final turn for the win.
