Lenhart hat trick leads San Jose
Steven Lenhart scored his first Major League Soccer hat-trick in the San Jose Earthquakes' 4-2 victory over D.C. United on Saturday night.
Lenhart fired home two goals in the space of seven minutes to cancel out Andy Najar's 13th minute opener for United.
The hosts drew level in the 34th minute with Blake Brettschneider's first career goal, before Lenhart chipped the ball into the box for Simon Dawkins to score in the 49th minute and regain the lead for the Earthquakes.
Lenhart completed his hat-trick with a header in the 60th minute to seal the win for the visitors.
The Earthquakes, unbeaten in their last six games, have scored six goals in their last two outings despite missing leading scorer Chris Wondolowski, who's on Gold Cup duty for the United States.
