Reports: Rookie Matz will likely be Mets' Game 4 starter

As the New York Mets prepare for the postseason after clinching their bid over the weekend, they will reportedly have two rookies in their postseason rotation.

Manager Terry Collins confirmed Sunday that righties Matt Harvey, Jacob deGrom, and rookie Noah Syndergaard will headline the Mets' postseason rotation, but wouldn't reveal if veteran Bartolo Colon or rookie Steven Matz would start a potential Game 4 in the NLDS.

Nonetheless, multiple New York media outlets cite an anonymous team official who has confirmed that Matz will likely be the starter of a Game 4.

In preparation for the postseason, lefty starter Jon Niese has been moved to the bullpen, and will be joined by the other odd man out of the Mets' postseason rotation for October.
