Nationals set to bring back Jayson Werth on Tuesday

Nationals outfielder Jayson Werth is expected to return to the lineup Tuesday for the opener of a three-game series at the Marlins.

Werth, who has been out since suffering a pair of small fractures in his left wrist on May 15, will be activated off the 15-day disabled list, according to the Washington Post.

Werth has appeared in only 27 games this season, batting .208 with two homers and 12 RBI. He was 11-for-30 on his nine-game rehab stint.

Ryan Zimmerman (plantar fasciitis) is also nearing a return but he did not play in a rehab game either Sunday or Monday. Zimmerman has been on the DL since June 10.
