Rory McIlroy, frustrated with his poor putting at the Honda Classic last month, switched his grip, moving to the en vogue left-hand-low (or cross-handed) grip.
It's working, in a big way. McIlroy is now sinking putts that even he has no business sinking.
The latest long-distance drop? A 68-foot birdie to halve his match with Kevin Na at the WGC Match Play Championship.
This, coming off a 59-foot make at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last weekend, where he was 15th in strokes saved putting (3.8 total in the tournament, compared to -2.3 in his two Honda Classic rounds.)
Rory added a 32-footer later in his round Friday to eliminate Na's one-hole lead.

If he keeps putting like this, Rory, who hasn't won a North American PGA event since Quail Hollow last May, is going to be in the thick of things in Augusta for sure.
