Report: Greg Norman engaged again
Twice-married golfing legend Greg Norman has told Australia's New Idea magazine that he is engaged to his new partner Kirsten Kutner, Australian Associated Press (AAP) reported Sunday.
"One minute we were having a day-to-day conversation and the next moment, all of a sudden, everything changed — our lives changed,'' Norman said in an interview published in this week's edition of the magazine.
The golfer, who is nicknamed "The Shark," divorced his first wife Laura Andrassy in 2006 after 25 years of marriage, and then married U.S. tennis star Chris Evert in the Bahamas in 2008.
Their marriage lasted only 18 months and less than six months after divorcing Evert, Norman went public with his relationship with new love Kutner — an interior designer who is a mother of two.
The golfer, who told the magazine he had presented Kutner, who is about 14 years his junior, with a six-carat diamond ring, was also outed in U.S. media reports, with the Palm Beach Post reporting Saturday that Norman referred to Kutner as his "fiancee" during a press conference.
Suggesting Kutner was "a young Olivia Newton-John lookalike," the Post reported that Norman had a past relationship with Kutner and their relationship was rekindled while he was going through his divorce with Evert.
Norman, 55, was the world's No. 1-ranked golfer for 331 weeks in the 1980s and 1990s.
