American Tom Hoge shot a bogey-free 5-under 66 to win the Canadian Tour's Players Cup on Sunday.
Hoge is the first player to go through a Monday qualifier and then win the event since the Tour's inception in 1986.
The 22-year-old nearly missed his tee time in qualifying and needed a playoff to make the field.
Benjamin Alvarado of Chile has a 66 to finish second.
The Players Cup was hosted by Chicago Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews.
