Western Illinois beats Indiana State in overtime 37-30

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) Nikko Watson ran for three touchdowns including the game-winner in overtime as Western Illinois beat Indiana State 37-30 on Saturday.

Watson carried 30 times for 153 yards for the Leathernecks (5-5, 4-3 Missouri Valley Conference). His 8-yard score early in the fourth quarter tied the game at 30 and sent it into overtime. He then took it in from the 1 in the overtime period for the win.

Sean McGuire threw for 332 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score. Joey Borsellino caught 10 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown.

The Sycamores (4-6, 2-5) led 20-10 at halftime and went up 27-10 early in the second half. Then McGuire connected with Borsellino for a 78-yard touchdown and Watson ran for another score and the Leathernecks trailed 30-24 at the end of the third quarter.

Matt Adam threw for 261 yards and a score for Indiana State.
