DURHAM, N.H. (AP) — Carlos Washington Jr. broke loose for a 93-yard touchdown run and Evan Horn picked off an Albany pass in the Great Danes' end zone for a touchdown as New Hampshire won the Colonial Athletic Association contest 24-10 Saturday afternoon.

The victory moves New Hampshire coach Sean McDonnell into third place on the all-time CAA wins list, breaking a tie with his predecessor, Bill Bowes. Only Andy Tally (Villanova, 142) and Jimmye Laycock (William & Mary, 111) have more wins in the conference.

The victory snaps a two-game losing streak against the Great Danes. The Wildcats (4-6, 3-4) now are 5-2 all-time against Albany (2-8, 0-7).

Ethan Stark kicked 49-yard field goal to put Albany up in the first quarter, but Trevor Knight got UNH on top with a 1-yard run for a touchdown and Jason Hughes kicked a 27-yard field goal to make it 10-3 at intermission. Washington broke free with 3:11 left in the third quarter to make it 17-3.

Jeff Undercuffler found Karl Mofor with a 28-yard touchdown to get Albany within a touchdown, 17-10, but Horn's interception capped the scoring.
