It's clear that Jerry Neuheisel will one day make a great football coach.

In fact, he's already got a head start this season, what with helping true freshman Josh Rosen learn the intricacies of the Bruins' offense. That Neuheisel was so helpful might have been a double-edge sword, since it was Neuheisel's veteran leadership that helped Rosen land the starting quarterback role.

"He's a big part of the reason why I won the job, because he is such a selfless guy and he has the team's best interest in mind, not just his own," Rosen said via The Associated Press.

Dan Greenspan also reports that "Rosen will now try to become the first true freshman to lead his team to a national championship after starting in the opener. Jamelle Holieway won a title for Oklahoma in 1985, but he only became the starter after Troy Aikman was injured in the fourth game of the season."

It's a tall task, that's a certainty.
