Randy Wright threw for 252 yards and three touchdowns in the second half and UC Davis had four interceptions in a 31-3 victory over San Diego on Saturday.

Wright relieved starting quarterback Austin Heyworth late in the second quarter after UC Davis (1-2) had struggled to a 7-0 lead. Wright had TD passes of 6 yards to Tom Hemmingsen and 3 yards to Mark Martindale as the Aggies pulled away with 14 unanswered points in the third quarter. Wright added a 17-yard scoring toss to Hemmingsen in the final quarter.

Wright completed 22 of 35 passes for 278 yards in relief of Wright, who was 7 for 15 for 122 yards and a touchdown. They offset an Aggies rushing game that netted just 23 yards on 26 carries.

San Diego (2-1) got its only points on a 41-yard field goal from Ernie Collins at the end of the third quarter.
