HOOVER, Ala. -- Get ready for the next stud from football's most plentiful family tree. The youngest of Hall of Famer Bruce Matthews' sons is apparently growing into quite a prospect.

Matthews' first three sons all have proven to be standout O-linemen. Kevin started at Texas A&M, was with the Carolina Panthers last season and is now an NFL free agent. Jake starred at A&M and was a first-round pick for the Falcons in the 2014 NFL Draft. Mike is now the anchor of the Aggies' line and a three-year starter. He also smiled at the thought that he's the runt of the litter.

The biggest of the bunch is his kid brother Luke, a 6-foot-4, 320-pounder with size 15 shoes.

Luke is also only 15.

"I guess my dad saved all his good genes for last," said Mike, who is 6-2, 290. "Luke's been taller and heavier than me since he was like 12 or 13."

Bruce Matthews, a 14-time Pro Bowler, is 6-5. His wife is 5-7. Bruce's brother, Clay Matthews Jr., also was a great NFL player and produced three sons who played college football. Kyle played safety at USC. Clay III walked on at USC and has emerged as a star for the Green Bay Packers. Casey was a linebacker at Oregon and now plays for the Vikings. Mike Matthews added that there are good football genes on his mom's side, too. His mother's sister's son, Troy Niklas, played tight end at Notre Dame and now plays for the Cardinals.

The youngest Matthews boy is going into his sophomore season at Elkins High in Missouri City, Texas. The Aggies offered him a scholarship a few years back. Like his older brothers, he should prove to be a masterful technician. The reason? He's getting some great coaching early on in his development.

"My dad's training him now and trying to get him right," said Mike. "I haven't really seen him play much, because I'm pretty busy. But every time I talk to my dad he says, 'You can see it. He's really got it.' He can move really well even at that size."
