Some within in the Penn State community are going to some incredible efforts to ensure that Joe Paterno's legacy isn't torn down any more than it already has been.

The Daily Collegian, the Penn State student newspaper, shared a photo on Twitter Wednesday morning of Nittany Lions fans camping outside of Beaver Stadium in an effort to protect the late head coach's statue.

There have been calls to take the statue down — including a plane carrying a banner on Tuesday morning that read "Take the statue down or we will" — since The Freeh Report was released last week.

According to The Daily Collegian, the students also had a sign that read "Protect the Paterno Statue" while camping out. This all came shortly after the decision was made to rename the tent city outside of Beaver Stadium from "Paternoville" to "Nittanyville" in light of the recent events.
