Stephen F. Austin dominates Houston Baptist 55-20

NACOGDOCHES, Texas (AP) Zach Conque threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns and rushed for two more scores to lead Stephen F. Austin to a dominating 55-20 victory over Houston Baptist on Saturday.

Conque, who completed 20 of 30 attempts, averaged nine yards a throw and rushed for 53 yards. Loren Easly ran 15 times for 112 yards and Jacolby Whitaker, who finished with 88 yards on eight carries, averaged 11 yards a carry.

The Lumberjacks (4-6, 4-4 Southland Conference), who started the season 0-5, have now won four of their last five games, losing to Central Arkansas 36-24 last week. They close out the season at Northwestern State next Saturday.

Stephen F. Austin was ahead 20-10 at the break and outscored Houston Baptist 28-3 in the third quarter for a 48-13 advantage going into the fourth.

Larry Day rushed for 77 yards on 10 carries for Houston Baptist (2-8, 0-7).
