Source: Ex-Iowa QB Jake Rudock to make visit to Michigan

Former Iowa quarterback Jake Rudock is set to arrive at Michigan for a visit in the next 36 hours, a source told FOX Sports on Wednesday.
As FOX first reported last week, Rudock, a two-year starter for the Hawkeyes, plans to transfer from the Iowa program and has been considering the Wolverines who are looking for a new starting QB in 2015. As a graduate transfer, the Fort Lauderdale native would become immediately eligible. However, if he does transfer within the Big Ten, Rudock would need a waiver from the conference. The source said on Wednesday that the QB hopes to have an answer on whether he would be cleared for this season sometime in the next week or two.
Rudock threw 34 TDs against 18 interceptions in the past two seasons. He also does have familiarity with Michigan passing game coordinator Jedd Fisch, who had recruited him when he was an assistant at the University of Miami and Rudock was a high school prospect.
