Henry Harris ran for 293 yards Saturday to break Southeast Missouri State's single-season rushing record as the Redhawks defeated Southwest Baptist 40-14.

Harris has 1,493 yards rushing in 10 games, breaking the mark of 1,371 held by Kelvin Anderson in 1992. He also became the school's single-season leader in all-purpose yards with 2,192. Harris ran for three touchdowns Saturday, giving him 17 for the season.

Southeast Missouri (9-1) won its ninth straight game, its longest winning streak since joining the NCAA Division I ranks, and matched the school record for wins (1937 and 1955).

Southwest Baptist (7-3), a Division II school, had its seven-game winning streak snapped. Steven Gachette ran for 123 yards and threw for 196 for the Bearcats. He was 19 for 40 passing with a touchdown and three interceptions.
