Report: Von Pearson named as suspect in rape investigation

Senior receiver Von Pearson was expected to be among the leaders of the football team this season, but he may have just bought himself a ticket off the team.

As first reported by the Knoxville News Sentinel, Pearson has been named as a suspect in an alleged rape that was reported in the early morning hours of Friday.

At least two other football players may have been at the scene of the incident.

No charges have currently been filed against Pearson at this time.
