Report: RB Jordan Scarlett suspended for Citrus Bowl
According to a report from 247sports, Florida true freshman running back Jordan Scarlett will not play in the Citrus Bowl against Michigan.
Scarlett was arrested on Dec. 19 in a dorm housing complex for misdemeanor marijuana possession.
On the year, Scarlett was the third-leading rusher on the team -- accruing 181 yards rushing and a 5.3 yards-per-carry average.
While his role on the team lessened towards the end of the season, Scarlett's speed and explosiveness is a weapon the Gators could've used against a stingy Michigan defense. He's best served out on the perimeter, where he can make players miss in space and potentially break a big play.
As such, Florida will roll with the one-two punch in the backfield of Kelvin Taylor and Jordan Cronkrite.
