The Penn State football news has a big focus on recruiting with the latest commitment for the 2017 class.

Penn State football recruiting is on the forefront today as the recruiting cycle is heating up. With National Signing Day just over a month away, head coach James Franklin and his staff has been busy trying to round out the final members of the 2017 class.

The Nittany Lions got a big boost Tuesday night when four-star cornerback Donovan Johnson committed to Penn State. He’s one of the fastest recruits out there and could become a big key to success in Happy Valley.

Sticking with recruiting, Penn State commit Micah Parsons has been given a fifth star by Rivals. Elsewhere, two top players currently committed to the University of Georgia are hoping to squeeze in another visit to Penn State.

Elsewhere, Coach Franklin is calling for fans attending the Rose Bowl to once again wear white. Also, punter Blake Gillikin and offensive linemen Ryan Bates were both honored for their efforts during their freshman seasons.

Finally, don’t overlook the play of the offensive line this season. Although not really highlighted in the box score, the guys up front played a huge role in the success of the offense this season.
