No. 22 Missouri ready to test road skills at Vanderbilt

No. 22 Missouri (5-1, 2-0 SEC) at Vanderbilt (1-5, 0-3), Saturday at 4 p.m. EDT (SEC Network).

Missouri can show they play as well on the road as at home coming off a five-game home stand. A win keeps them atop the SEC East. Vanderbilt desperately needs a win over an SEC opponent after a stunning home loss to UNLV a week ago.


Missouri's very stingy defense against Vanderbilt's struggling offense. The Tigers rank sixth nationally in yards allowed and have allowed opponents to get inside their 20 just 12 times this season, the fewest in the SEC this season. Vanderbilt opened its quarterback competition after a 34-10 loss to UNLV.


Missouri: QB Kelly Bryant. The senior threw for 329 yards and a TD in the Tigers' last game, and he is averaging 262.5 yards passing this season. He ranks 28th nationally with 12 TD passes.

Vanderbilt: RB Ke'Shawn Vaughn. He is coming off his best game this season with 140 yards rushing on just 15 carries in the loss to UNLV, and he also had a 53-yard reception.
