Chris Houston came up with two interceptions as New Hampshire forced three turnovers to defeat Maine 30-27 on Saturday.

The Black Bears' loss ended their chance at their first Colonial Athletic Association title since 2002.

New Hampshire (8-3, 5-2) trailed 20-16 before scoring after two turnovers.

Houston came up with his second interception of Warren Smith at the Maine 29-yard line and returned it 11 yards. On the ensuing drive, R.J. Harris caught a 5-yard TD from Kevin Decker.

On the kickoff, Maine's Kendall James fumbled and Manny Asam came up with the ball for the Wildcats on the Maine 18. Nico Steriti ran the first play from scrimmage into the end zone for a 30-23 lead with 13:26 to play.

Warren Smith was 22 of 37 for a touchdown and 184 yards for Maine (8-3, 6-2), which needed a win to clinch a share of the CAA crown.
