Missouri juco signee Frazier says he's cleared to play

Junior college defensive end Marcell Frazier, a member of Missouri's 2015 signing class, announced over the weekend on Twitter that he has been cleared academically.

There had been some uncertainty about whether Frazier, a three-star commit out of College of the Siskiyous in California, would qualify. But according to his tweet, he'll be on the field for the Tigers this fall.

The 6-foot-4, 245-pound Frazier could find immediate playing time following Missouri's dismissal of expected starting defensive end Marcus Loud. Frazier spoke to the Columbia Tribune and provided the following scouting report with fall camp approaching:

"My game plan is kind of to get around the returning D-line guys, just get into that culture and let them know I want to learn everything I can as fast as I can," Frazier told the Tribune. "I know it's going to be a process, but I know talent-wise all that stuff's going to work out. But I know I should be around the guys as much as possible.

"I don't know how summer really works, but if we do have film sessions or one-on-one walk-throughs on the field, be really attentive during those times so I can soak up as much information as possible.

"I feel like my abilities, that'll be fine. But I need to learn their system as soon as possible."
