Melvin Gordon thanks Wisconsin fans before turning to draft
MADISON, Wis. -- Running back Melvin Gordon is giving thanks to Wisconsin fans before turning his attention to getting ready for the NFL Draft.
Gordon posted a thank-you letter on his Twitter account on Wednesday. The Wisconsin native says he has lived out his dream to play football for the Badgers.

He says it's hard to leave with one year of eligibility remaining, but that he will have his bachelor's degree. He is majoring in life science communication.
The fourth-year junior won this year's Doak Walker Award as the nation's top running back. He finished second in the Heisman Trophy voting to Oregon quarterback Marcus Mariota.
Gordon set a Big Ten record with 2,587 yards rushing this season.
