Marist hands Stetson another lopsided loss, 27-0
Chuckie Looney threw three touchdown passes and ran for another to lead Marist over Stetson 27-0 Saturday.
Looney had TDs passes of 17, 3 and 22 yards while connecting with nine different receivers. Looney also rushed for 127 yards on just five carries, surpassing his career-high of 120 yards rushing against Dayton earlier this season. His longest was a 59-yard TD run.
It was the second shutout of the season for Marist (5-3, 4-1 Pioneer League). The win also gives the Red Foxes their most since 2009.
Stetson (1-6, 0-4) could only muster eight first downs. Ryan Tentler, the Hatters' quarterback, was 9 of 20 for 105 yards. He also had team-high 21 yards rushing on 13 carries.
Stetson now has a six-game losing streak. Four of the losses have been by 20 points or more.
