Louisville Football vs. Florida State: Final predictions before the game
The Louisville football team is looking to pull off an upset tomorrow afternoon against the Florida State Seminoles. Here are our last minute predictions the night before the game.
Thank goodness that this game is going to be played at 12:00pm in the afternoon tomorrow as many fans probably will not be able to sleep this evening. We have a huge match-up coming between the tenth ranked Louisville football team and the second ranked Florida State Seminoles.
Not only does this game have ACC implications, but it also has College Football Playoff implications on the line for both programs. A loss for either team tomorrow could prove to be costly as the season goes on. Therefore, it’s imperative that the Cardinals find a way to come out on top tomorrow afternoon.
The Louisville football team has great senior leadership on this team. Those guys need to help calm the nerves and loosen the rest of the team up before they take the field against the Seminoles. This is going to be a great game and we believe that Louisville will come out on top.

This is the perfect opportunity for Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson to make his case for why he is the best quarterback in the entire country. No disrespect to Deshaun Watson, but there are some things that Jackson can do, that Watson cannot. It’s also fair to say that Watson has things that Jackson can’t do as well, but he isn’t a long way off.

As we wrote in our “5 bold predictions for the Florida State game” article earlier this week, look for Lamar Jackson to have around 500 total yards for this game. Jimbo Fisher will find a way to keep Jackson in the pocket, but Jackson will find a way to pick apart the Seminoles’ defense through the air. The absence of star defender Derwin James is not going to help Florida State’s effort towards winning this game.
It’s also going to be important that Louisville’s defense can shut down Dalvin Cook. We do believe that he will be the game’s leading rusher, but that hopefully won’t come back to haunt Louisville. The Cardinals need to make sure that they tackle well, in order to slow him down tomorrow. Louisville also needs to be on the lookout for Cook in the screen game. They cannot afford for him to go over the century mark in both receiving and rushing.
This is going to be a game that both fanbases remember for a long, long time. Whichever way the score goes in this game, this is not the end of the road for either team. Both schools still have to play the defending ACC Champions, Clemson Tigers before the season is over. However, winning tomorrow could launch Louisville and Lamar Jackson into the national spotlight for the rest of the season.
