Bryan Sperry made national news this past weekend when the 89-year-old former Jayhawk scored a touchdown in KU's alumni scrimmage. Now, the public is getting a chance to see what Sperry looked like when he played at Kansas nearly 70 years ago.
Sperry who played both defensive and offensive end on KU's 1947 Orange Bowl team, was quite a handsome lad in his playing days, as seen in his headshot shared by Kansas Athletics on Instagram.
In an interview with the Kansas City Star following the scrimmage, Sperry reflected on his experience, saying, "That was fun. I didn't know if I could run."
Check out his touchdown at the alumni scrimmage below.
