Jim Harbaugh shows up at Michigan Ultimate Frisbee practice

Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh has been all over campus since taking over the reins of his alma mater’s football program. Last night, he made an appearance at a practice session for the university’s Ultimate Frisbee team one day after members of the program made a plea for him to attend one of their practices.

"We were just warming up and he just kind of showed up,” team captain Eli Leonard told ESPN.com’s Adam Rittenberg. “He was just there alone. It was pretty eerie at the beginning.

“We started to get a little energized and nervous, too.”

Leonard also told Rittenberg that Harbaugh stayed for nearly the entire two-hour practice and also took pictures with the players. He even sang the school's fight song, “The Victors,” with them. It seems like it was a memorable moment, and kudos to Harbaugh for stopping by.

It’s pretty clear that in terms of being an ambassador for the program, Harbaugh is a home run hire. He’s making headway in recruiting and has obviously enjoyed on-field success at all of his past coaching stops, college and pro. On paper, he seems like the perfect coach for the Wolverines, but his team still has to take the field and prove that.
