Jerry Kill's vision paying off for Gophers

Minnesota Golden Gophers head coach Jerry Kill has the reputation for being a hard-nosed, old school coach and his team's certainly take that personality.

What a lot people don't get to see is his incredible vision for his career and the dedication of his assistant coaches. Kill has essentially had the same staff since 1999 when he started at Emporia State. Offensive coordinator Matt Limegrover tells a great story about choosing to follow Kill way back then according to the Star Tribune:

“When Coach called me, Limegrover said, If you come with me, you won’t regret it. We won’t be getting our gold watches at Emporia State. I love the process, I love the journey, and we can go somewhere special together. I was sold when I heard that."

It's that strong commitment and vision that had Kill guiding the Gophers to consistent contention in the Big Ten.
