Is Arizona WR Shun Brown the next freshman sensation?
Arizona fans remember Nick Wilson. He was a true freshman running back who made a name for himself last season while filling big shoes left behind by Ka'Deem Carey.
Wildcats coach Rich Rodriguez has made it known that at least several freshman could find valuable time on the field again in 2015, and with a strong recruiting class already in Tucson Arizona could soon find another star freshman.
Arizona Desert Swarm's Gabe Encinas listed five freshman who could take on that role, including wide receiver Shun Brown. Here's what he had to say about Brown:
"Probably the best performing freshman yet, he's bound to see the field in one way or another," Encinas writes. "The only problem is that he faces the uphill battle with the depth at wide receiver. If Rich Rodriguez truly thinks he is ready to see the field, then let's see what Brown can do.
"He's also in the mix for the punt return battle, which I motion for 100%, giving DaVonte' Neal the sole focus of defense. It might be a limited role, but he's the playmaker that will come up big for Arizona this year."
