Gundy isn't banning social media for his team

Feel free to text Oklahoma State coach Mike Gundy.

Or you could Tweet at him, too. He has his phone on, and so do the rest of the players at Oklahoma State after Gundy, the Cowboys' coach, said he won't be banning his players from using social media during the football season.

"I don't think there's any question that social networking in this country in all areas, especially athletics with the media and people chasing things that are put out there, has changed everything that we do," Gundy said on the Jim Rome show. "We work with it. Our players understand that they need to be very careful with what they put out there. We don't take that away from them. I feel like that's just a part of everyday life. Everybody has their own opinion, but they're going to be involved in that. It's a way of life for them. They revolve around their phones. So, we educate them and try to get them to make good decisions in those areas."
