Gophers suspend S Theret for breaking team rules

Minnesota has suspended starting safety Kyle Theret indefinitely for an unspecified violation of team rules and policies.

The punishment was announced Monday by the school.

Theret is a senior who led the Gophers with three interceptions last season. He was also fifth on the team with 73 tackles while starting all 13 games. Theret has been a starter since his freshman year.
