Georgia Southern rushing attack helps dismantle Troy 45-10

TROY, Ala. (AP) Matt Breida had 84 yards rushing and a touchdown on 17 carries to lead a balanced ground game in Georgia Southern's 45-10 win over Troy on Saturday.

After spotting Troy a 10-0 lead, Georgia Southern (7-2, 5-1 Sun Belt) established its ground attack in dominant fashion. The Eagles had the ball for 42:55 compared to 17:05 for the Trojans.

The Eagles had 325 rushing yards to 70 for Troy (3-7, 2-4).

LA Ramsby and Kevin Ellinson ran for 82 and 77 yards, respectively. Ramsby also scored a touchdown.

Matt Campbell's 20-yard scoring run in the second quarter put Georgia Southern up 17-10.

The Eagles' defense limited Troy to 212 total yards, had two interceptions and recovered a fumble.

Troy's Brandon Silvers was 12 for 25 for 134 yards and an interception, and backup Dallas Tidwell was 2 for 4 for 10 yards and a pick.
