Georgetown 24, Wagner 10
Isaiah Kempf threw for one touchdown and ran for another, and Georgetown limited Wagner's running game in a 24-10 win on Saturday.
Kempf's 6-yard run with 8:05 left in the second quarter put the Hoyas (3-2) up for good, 7-3, and its defense took over from there.
Georgetown, which allowed just 86.4 rushing yards per game coming in, held the Seahawks (1-4) to 77 yards on the ground.
Wagner's Dominique Williams, who averaged 120.8 yards rushing per game coming in, finished with 67 yards on 25 carries against the Hoyas.
The Hoyas' defense, led by Robert McCabe with 14 tackles, prevented Wagner from sustaining drives, as the Seahawks converted just 3 of 18 third downs.
While the Seahawks' offense was struggling, Georgetown's was relying on Kempf, who finished with 183 yards and a touchdown on 12-of-24 passing and 35 yards rushing on 11 carries.
