Al-Terek McBurse rushed for 218 yards and three touchdowns as Florida A&M defeated Savannah State 47-7 on Saturday night.

The Rattlers (4-3, 2-2 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) posted their highest point total of the season while Savannah State was held to a touchdown or less for the third time.

McBurse scored on runs of 5, 31 and 60 and yards for the Rattlers, who rolled up 291 yards rushing and 448 yards total offense. Damien Fleming scored on a 19-yard run to give the Rattlers a 28-0 lead at halftime. Savannah State broke up the shutout on a 38-yard run by Sheldon Barnes with 11:08 to play in the third quarter.

Florida A&M has won three out of its past four games.

The Rattlers forced four turnovers, including three interceptions, and limited the Tigers to 3 of 11 on third down conversions.

Justin Babb rushed for 117 yards for the Tigers (1-6, 1-3).
