Dayton downs Valparaiso 45-20
Will Bardo threw for two touchdowns and Gary Hunter amassed 279 all-purpose yards to lead Dayton in a 45-20 victory over Valparaiso on Saturday.
Bardo completed a 72-yard touchdown pass to Hunter, who finished with 133 yards receiving, and a 63-yard touchdown pass to Gabe Macis. Hunter's totals included 128 yards on kick returns - one went for 100 yards and a touchdown to start the third quarter. Connor Kacsor ran for 105 yards and picked up the only rushing touchdown for the Flyers (7-4, 5-3 Pioneer).
Tanner Kuramata finished with 200 yards receiving on 10 catches and scored two touchdowns for Valparaiso (1-10, 1-7). Kuramata's longest reception, 78 yards, was for a touchdown in the third quarter. Eric Hoffman threw two interceptions in the third quarter - both returned for touchdowns - that broke a 10-10 tie and gave Dayton the lead for good.
