Nick Schwieger rushed for two touchdowns to lead Dartmouth in a 37-20 win over Colgate in the Big Green's season opener on Saturday.

Schwieger ran for 175 yards on 20 carries for the Big Green, who were outgained by the Raiders 384-320 on offense but forced the game's only turnover en route to victory.

The teams stayed close throughout the first half and early in the second until Schwieger's 4-yard TD run and Conner Kempe's 19-yard pass to Tim McManus put Dartmouth ahead 30-14 after three quarters.

Gavin McCarney's 2-yard touchdown run pulled the Raiders (1-2) within 10 after a failed two point conversion, but Schwieger ran in a 2-yard TD of his own to put Dartmouth up by the final margin with 3:46 left.

McCarney threw for 200 yards on 26 for 34 passing, while also rushing for 122 yards and three TDs on 23 carries for Colgate.
