Former Oregon Ducks cornerback Cliff Harris has entered a not guilty plea in connection with alleged domestic harassment.

Harris' attorney asked that he be released from jail after the Wednesday hearing, but that request was denied by Washington County Circuit Court Judge Gayle Nachtigal. It was unclear when he might be released.

Harris, an All-American in 2010, was arrested Friday night after he was seen fighting with his girlfriend outside a restaurant. He was released after posting bail on Saturday, but then he was pulled over on his way to his Tuesday court hearing and cited for reckless driving and not having a license.

Harris was let go by the New York Jets last week after he was arrested for alleged marijuana possession. He had signed a reserve-future contract with the Jets in January.
