CeCe Jefferson ready to help beat-up Florida defensive line
With injuries to defensive linemen Joey Ivie and Jonathan Bullard, true freshman CeCe Jefferson may be thrust into an integral role as the Florida Gators finish up the remaining portion of its regular season schedule.

Ivie will be sidelined for a few weeks with what was deemed as a surgical procedure on one of his legs. Bullard -- who's arguably been Florida's best player throughout the year -- is battling an arm ailment. He's "highly questionable" for this weekend's game against South Carolina.
As a result, Jefferson appears to be in line for a big uptick in playing time. Able to function as both a defensive end or tackle, the former decorated high school athlete's versatility will certainly be put to use.
This fortuitous turn of events is an opportunity for Jefferson to continue in his development as a player, as well as gain valuable experience going forward.
On the year, the Glen St. Mary native has accrued 1.5 sacks and 3.0 tackles for loss in a reserve role.
