Bryant beats Central Connecticut State 29-16

Michael Perry ran for two touchdowns and a game-high 125 yards on Saturday and Bryant came from behind to beat Central Connecticut State 29-16 to earn a share of fourth place in the Northeast Conference.

Bryant (5-7, 3-3) led 14-3 at the end of the first quarter on a 1-yard scoring run by Ryan Black and a 1-yarder by Perry, but Central Connecticut (4-8, 2-4) came back to lead 16-14 at the end of the third on two more field goals by Steven Calitri and a 9-yard TD pass from Nick SanGiacomo to Denzell Jones.

The Bulldogs dominated the final period, scoring 15 unanswered points on an 82-yard TD pass from Mike Westerhaus to Tyriq DeShields, with Jordan Harris passing to Chad Ward for the two-point conversion, and a 1-yard scoring run by Perry.

Westerhaus was 10 of 21 for 174 yards passing, including two interceptions, for the Bulldogs.
