Arizona Football: Fans still Enjoying Themselves Despite Rough Season

Published Jun. 30, 2017 6:28 p.m. ET

It has been a rather rough and forgettable year for the Arizona Football team, but the fans are still trying to enjoy themselves as Wildcats fans are known to do.

Last week, Zona Zealots was in Attendance for the Arizona Football homecoming game against Stanford, where we took to the mall to interview any willing fans.

With temperatures reaching the lower to mid-90s in late October, we were still surprised to see the rather impressive turnout.

In the midst of a forgettable season riddled with attrition, injuries and a myriad of other “excuses,” the Wildcat faithful still turned out to the game, especially for homecoming weekend.

Despite the rather lopsided loss to the Cardinal, overall, it was a great opportunity to interact with the fans and be involved in the community.

With that said, we took in all the pre-game festivities involved with the homecoming weekend. Alongside us were young Wildcat fans too, taking in the experience and participating in the interviews. Shereen Rayan, little Wildcats fan Hailey H. and I took to the campus before kick-off.

We asked the Wildcat faithful three questions; ‘How long have you been a Wildcat fan?”, ‘Who is you favorite Wildcat player?’, and lastly, ‘What is your favorite game day tradition?’

Just by coincidence, we bumped into a few notable Wildcats and one parent of a player, fans thoroughly enjoyed telling us about their favorite players and more.

Without further ado, here are our interviews on the famous University of Arizona Mall along with the sports Internet show, ‘In the Front Row‘:

At Zona Zealots, we still love our Wildcats win our lose, even if it is tough to watch this year. We know things will get, better, and are just glad to be a part of the best fan base in the world! We are aware fans hurting because they care about their team. KBearDown, Arizona!
