TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) Arizona cornerbacks coach David Lockwood will not return next season.

The school made the announcement on Monday. Coach Rich Rodriguez says football analyst Jahmile Addae (JUH-mall UH-dye) has been promoted to replace Lockwood, who had been with the team for four years.

Arizona's passing defense struggled this season, allowing 268 yards per game. That ranked 10th in the Pac-12 Conference and 112th nationally.

Addae spent the last three seasons assisting with day-to-day operations and focusing on defensive film breakdown.

He played for Rodriguez at West Virginia, where he was a four-year starter, two-time captain and three-time All-Big-East defensive back.
