As a means to support former SEC Commissioner Mike Slive, Alabama will don Prostate Cancer Awareness stickers on the backs of their helmets in today's contest versus Middle Tennessee State.
Slive was diagnosed with the disease in the late 1990's, and had a recurrence in 2014. This ultimately was a contributing factor in his retirement from the post as SEC Commissioner.
Slive's doggedness and determination are massive reasons as to why the SEC has become arguably the toughest and most successful conference in recent memory.
Credit Alabama for illuminating such a significant cause.
