Austin Morgan scored 18 points and led a late rally as Yale edged Brown 68-64 Saturday in the teams' Ivy League openers.

Yale (11-4, 1-0) trailed 38-31 at halftime and 61-55 with 3:12 left before beginning a 13-0 run. Morgan started it with a 3-pointer and ended it with four straight free throws. The last two, with 5 seconds left, made it 68-61.

Brown shot 56.6 percent (13 of 23) in the first half, hitting 9 of 15 3-point attempts. Sean McGonagill, who scored 23 points, hit 4 treys. But Yale clamped down defensively in the second half and the Bears (5-12, 0-1) hit 40 percent (10-25) in the second half.

Yale outscored Brown 15-6 at the foul line, McGonagill going 1 for 6. The Bulldogs dominated Brown 24-14 in the paint, 18-6 off turnovers and 11-3 in bench scoring.

Greg Mangano scored 15 points for Yale.
