Derrious Gilmore scored 18 points to lead Wyoming past Idaho State 80-56 Thursday night.

It was the debut for Idaho State interim coach Deane Martin. He replaced Joe O'Brien, who resigned earlier in the week.

Idaho State (2-9) appeared a bit tentative early but managed to stay close to Wyoming through most of the first half.

But the Cowboys (12-2), who led 33-31 with almost 4 minutes left in the first half, finished on a 12-4 run to take a 45-35 lead into the locker room. Gilmore, who went 4 for 6 from beyond the arc, hit three of those during the final minutes of the half.
